Absolutely Zippo #33 (or current issue) - by Robert Eggplant
$1.00

The return of an East Bay classic. Eggplant used to play guitar in the band Blatz, he continues to live the chaos in the pages of his zine.
BURN COLLECTOR #13 - Al Burian
$5.00
SOLD OUT

Burn Collector #13 follows Al Burian from his apartment floor (where the minutemen play on the stereo) to the streets of Chicago's Ukranian Village neighborhood, and then onto a family reunion in Europe. Once in Europe, Burian experiments with living his life according to a philosophy developed by a former room mate in Rhode Island known as the "non-stop party wagon." Followers of this dharma simply say "yes" to what ever comes their way, and as a result achieve greater things than those who actually seek them out (Burian later realizes that this is actaully a Zen Buhddist teaching, even though his friend was using it to get drugs and seek out parties). The "non-stop party wagon" guides Burian through his adventure taking him to places he would not have imagined - like doing the final art project for a young college girl's exam in Italy. This is a great zine. (A.M. Scott)

Cometbus: Double Duce Book
$6.50

The first novel from underground writer Aaron Cometbus, Double Duce reads like a reality TV show from the lows of Berkeley punk life -- take two underachieving pranksters and let them figure out how to pay the rent when neither has a job. In this autobiographical novel, the characters ponder life’s mundane questions -- how to get by on no money, where to scam free photocopies, and the finer points of dumpster diving -- with the seriousness of ancient philosophers. What Kerouac was to the Beat Generation, Aaron Cometbus is to the East Bay punk scene, and the strange tribe of punks and dropouts has never before been so perfectly chronicled as in this oral history made into written saga.
